Classroom Rules:

We will work as a group to create classroom rules which will ensure our safety and the best learning environment possible.

Each student has a clip with his or her number on it.  Everyone will begin the day on green, and the clips can be moved up and down throughout the day based on their behavior.  At the end of the day they will color on their homework sheet which level they were on.  Below is what each color means.

Pink: Continually throughout the day, the student went above and beyond what is expected of them!

Purple:  Students can get to the purple level by making great choices and going out of their way to do something great!

Green: Every student begins on this level and stays here if they continue to do what they are suppose to do and display good behavior.  This is a good place to be!

Yellow: A student will be moved to yellow if they are given a warning.  This is a reminder to the student that they need to make good choices.

Orange: Students who continue to make poor choices will be moved to this level.  A consequence will be given based on the behaviors that are observed.

Red: If a student makes it to the red level, I will be contacting the parent to let them know of the behaviors I have seen and what the student needs to do to change that behavior.  At this point, the student will most likely miss all of their recess and might have to have a conversation with the principal.

I can't stress enough the importance of good behavior and manners at school.  In order to establish a productive classroom learning environment it is essential that each student follows the classroom/school rules and expectations.  Good behavior is rewarded with stickers, candy, "super slips", verbal praise, and "paw prints".
